This is done through: • Eliminating discrimination • Reducing vulnerability • Achieving goals • Accessing services that are mandated by legislation to everyone • Accessing services and/or funding that have been created to ameliorate • current condition and without which the individual is at a disadvantage. • Achieving equity • Achieving empowerment and independence • Overcoming barriers
There are many reasons to be advocting for Organic Producers, chief among these is food safety.
A 2006 study involved 23 school-aged children and investigated the impact of organic food on exposure to organophosphate (OP) insecticides. All 23 children tested positive for OP toxins in their urine when eating conventional food. The markers for OP insecticides virtually disappeared after just five days of organic consumption.
